The Hersonwood Garden seeks to inspire the local and wider community with its unique collection of plants, landscapes, people, and stories. As part of the Port Gamble S'Klallam Tribe, Heronswood is a vibrant horticultural hub for visitors, volunteers, scientists, and students, with over 8,000 different plant varieties spread over six distinct gardens.
Every plant has a story and with over 8,000 varieties at Hersonswood, maintaining data on all of the plants was a real struggle. Like most organizations, Hersonswood did its best with offline database tools and spreadsheets, but there was no consistency and ability to view the information in the garden.
That's when Hersonwood and Silverdale began our partnership to create the Plant Collection database in Odoo. The Heronswood database is now fully integrated into their working day, with access to data on every plant in the garden available at their fingertips via the mobile app, including history, locations, and pictures.
Our journey has blossomed to include contact management, email marketing, event ticketing, online payments, and point of sale.
